Every now and then I enjoy testing out new items

and I am very happy with the quality of these! I just may need

This past Sunday we attended a model horse live show

so that one of the youngest members of our family

could enter his few and one of my Breyer model horses.

It was his first time out, and our 8 horses were showing against

hundreds of other beautiful models owned by many seasoned

model horse collectors.

Such an amazing time!

This young 9 year old carefully "brushed and groomed" each of his equine entries, 

positioned them in the "show ring" for their best display...

 and by the end of his classes this very happy, new 

showman had earned one second, one fifth, one first place blue ribbon...

then stunned us all as he went on to win champion

and grand champion / best of show! 

I do believe he will be looking forward to more shows in the future!

~ Christmas 2015 ~

I know it's way past Christmas time...and supposed to be Spring...

but the snow and cold we have had nearly every day

for the past week seems like it could be Christmas!

Above was our greatroom...all decked out for the 2015 holidays!

There were a few at the Horse Expo in a local mall this past Saturday!

This little one loved what she saw,

and spent quite a few minutes staring at herself and "kissing" the mirror!

With only hours left of 2015, I look back and see a very good year.

Still fresh, new, and only hours old, it rang in with a 100th year birthday party for an

amazing great aunt.

The summer was exceptional, including two very beautiful family weddings, a reunion, educational

equine adventures, much needed projects completed and more,

then continued into a gorgeous fall!

Along with the amazing and exceptional, 2015 rounded itself out with a few life lessons,

something any good year should have. :0)

And with all that was included, nature and it's Creator continue to reveal mystery and wonder!

The images above were taken by me this past summer...no alterations.

This is the ancient birch I have often talked of...

the very same tree,

in the very same place,

in the very same field,

that appeared in a dream I had when I was very young.

We have looked upon this tree for more than 3 decades, and this summer it revealed an

amazing

circled cross.

Quite awesome I must say!

" My New Equine Buddy "Bell" ~

It has been a few years since a horse has graced our pastures.

But just last week delightful equine sounds were heard once more!

"Bell", a  beautiful dun, registered paint mare has joined our family,

and we are so happy to have her here!
