~ Our 1940 Farmall H ~

Not quite art...but it did involve painting! LOL :0)
We bought this tractor years and years ago out of a local barn,
with very old pealing paint and in need of a few parts to replace or restore.
Over the years this tractor helped bale our hay in summer...
placed logs on our sawmill bed in fall...
and removed snow from the driveway in winter.
It was this tractor that became our project these past few weeks.
We removed 77 years of old grease and dirt...scraped off pealing paint...
restored worn or missing parts...wheels came off...then got an excellent bath...
and we painted...and painted...and painted.
The wheels went back on...new decals and hood emblem were applied...
And now this Farmall H tractor...parts manufactured and built in July of 1940...
is ready for the local antique tractor and steam show this coming weekend.
With it will be a for sale sign...for it is time this tractor helps
a new home with haying...or saw milling...snow removal...
maybe even to be enjoyed at shows or parades.
